Double Success for Daisy Moore at IMI Annual Dinner and Awards 2026

JCT600 is proud to celebrate a memorable evening for one of our colleagues at the IMI (Institute of the Motoring Industry) Annual Dinner and Awards.

Held on Wednesday, 11th March 2026, at the InterContinental Hotel in London, the awards celebrate excellence across the motoring industry, recognising individuals and organisations across a range of categories.

Daisy Moore from JCT600 Audi Doncaster achieved double success on the evening, winning Apprentice of the Year, an award recognising individuals who go above and beyond in their roles while demonstrating a strong commitment to learning and development.

She was also named the first recipient of the IMI Training Bursary, an award which supports individuals with a passion for the automotive industry who have faced personal or financial challenges by providing access to training, tools and resources.

Daisy Moore, Technician at JCT600 Audi Doncaster, said: “To even be shortlisted for Apprentice of the Year was such an immense feeling, and I was over the moon when I received the email. When my name was called out as a winner for the award, I was so shocked I almost forgot to stand up and collect my award.

About 10 minutes after I won my award, I noticed the presenter was talking about me and my story. I was super confused, as I had already been up on stage, and then they presented me with my second award, which was the Bursary award. I couldn't believe it, and I was genuinely so stunned but extremely appreciative. The whole night was such a tremendous experience from start to finish.”

It's always great to see our colleagues being recognised and awarded for the work they do at JCT600. Well done, Daisy. This is an incredible achievement.

Daisy's Role and Her Apprenticeship Journey

Four and a half years ago, Daisy started her apprenticeship at Audi Doncaster with no knowledge of cars. From day one, she felt welcomed into the team and supported by her colleagues. The apprenticeship programme gave Daisy the chance to learn on the job while earning, offering the perfect balance between practical experience and training.

She particularly enjoyed the time spent at the National Learning Centre (NLC), where the teachers were always helpful. Being with other learners in the same position provided Daisy with extra reassurance, knowing everyone was going through the same experience.

In February 2025, Daisy was invited to go to the Houses of Parliament with the Volkswagen Group for National Apprenticeship Week, for an event hosted by the SMMT. This achievement was one of the first times she felt recognised for her hard work and a great opportunity to see other learner who have also been recognised for their efforts on the apprenticeship programme.

At Audi Doncaster, they have weekly meetings to discuss where they are with KPIs for the month, and the workshop controller also awards Employee of the Week, a simple way to boost team morale within the workshop. Daisy has won Employee of the Week a number of times for her hard work and dedication.

She suffers from dermatitis on her hands, which she mentioned in her nomination story, and at points she questioned whether she should continue in her role. Her determination and perseverance stood out to the IMI and helped her story be recognised.

In her current role as a Service Technician, Daisy mainly carries out service work and replaces serviceable items, while also taking on more complex diagnostic tasks and electric vehicle work as part of her HVT qualification. In the near future, she hopes to attend further courses to develop both her understanding of electric vehicles and her diagnostic skills.
